Ever since I was a little girl I have had my heart set on going to Florida State University, just like my dad. When I graduate, I plan to become a political broadcast journalist. Throughout my pageant journey, which began when I was a princess in the Miss America "Connecticut" system, I learned that no goal is too big. Nor is it unreachable. The criteria I go by when setting goals is to make sure it is reasonable and attainable. When creating a goal, whether it is long-term or takes place within the next week, make sure you are actually able to accomplish the goal and that it is not something crazy (like creating a two headed lion, t-rex in your backyard). This brings me to my next point: THE PLAN. You can truly accomplish anything as long as you have a plan in place. This might mean doing research to learn more about your goal; talking to someone who is an expert in the field of knowledge; creating an outline and timeframe. Anything to help you accomplish your goal! My biggest piece of advice: never let anyone tell you that your dreams are crazy, or that you are uncapable. I have truly learned anything is possible if you have a plan and you focus on what YOU want.
