IT'S TIME TO FLEX!

  • F: Food is Fuel

    • The foods and drinks we put into our bodies impacts our energy, ability to learn, and to sleep well at night. Food is fuel! We need to fill our tanks with nutritious and healthy choices to ensure we are living our best lives.

 

  • L: Love Yourself

    • When you look in the mirror, what do you see? Learn to celebrate your unique differences and feel confident in your own skin. Think about what you are good at and recognize your unique talents and abilities.

 

  • E: Empower Others

    • When you are eating well and celebrating yourself, that positivity is contagious! Use your positive momentum to empower others and raise them up – be kind and compliment others for what they’re doing well.

 

  • X: eXercise

    • Just like anything in life, we continue to improve when we keep moving. Exercise is such an important part of keeping our bodies – and minds! – healthy. Kids and teens need 60 minutes of active play and/or exercise every day. Remember that physical activity throughout the day all adds up… so get moving!

MY MISSION

The mission of Flexing Confidence is to help youth build their self-confidence through living a healthy and active lifestyle. As someone who danced competitively for many years and is now a Varsity Cheerleader, I know that staying active is important for both your physical and mental health. More importantly, when you feel healthy you feel confident.
